A few years ago, I began writing love letters. After the first few, I developed a taste for it. I discovered that had a knack. Eventually, I decided to write a letter to every lover I had—and even a few that I didn’t. What started as an experiment became a sort of art project. Some letters I sent, some I didn't. But I saved a copy of every one.
Now I’ve decided to offer these letters to you. I’ve taken pains to change names and camouflage those details that might encroach upon the privacy of others. Remember that these letters were only ever intended for the people they were written for.
